Not a great week ...
Monday: If I remember correctly, it was hot? Or I just had a case of the Mondays? Actually, now that I think about it, I do think I was trying to wait for it to cool off a bit, and in the meantime help get Ava to bed. Well, by the time she was sleeping, I was feeling a bit sleepy myself.
Tuesday: headed out late (after the heat) for a quick 3 miles. And quick it was ... 33:47 minutes. One of my faster 3 mile times. :) I am starting to like my first run of the week. I am typically on fresh legs following a rest after the weekend, and seems like these are my fastest runs of the week.
Wednesday: with a chance of storms and just plain ol' feeling tired, this was another rest day.
Thursday: Zero. I don't even know if there was an excuse this night (I mean there really never is) ... I know I ran some errands, and again, was just tired.
Friday: rest (as planned) Although I did attempt to make up for some missed runs by setting my alarm for early in the morning. But that was a failed plan, too.
Saturday: headed out for my long run! Another 10 on the agenda. I hit my 5 mile split in 1 hour flat. I hit 10 miles in 2:01. I finished with 10.2 miles in 2:05. The last 1.5 miles felt a lot harder than last week, but overall, I am happy with the result. Love that it was consistent. Love that even if I can't go just a little bit faster on the long runs, I can at least maintain a 12 minute pace.
Sunday: rest
Total mileage: 13.2 miles
Nothing to brag about; but it is what it is.
