Not a great week; but not a bad one by any means either.
Mon 2/25: Monday's are the one night that I like to be home by 7 to watch TV (I love The Biggest Loser!). After coming home, helping with supper, and whatever else, I just didn't get a workout in tonight. I didn't feel too bad about it following Sunday's Pilates and run.
Tues 2/26: Pilates, followed by another 3.1 miles. This was a tough one - the regular Pilates instructor was out, and I had a bad attitude about the one that took her place. Her workout just seemed harder than the ones I am used to. I felt like I didn't know what I was supposed to do. It was just blah. At least the run went a little better!
Wed 2/27: Following through on my word to Chad to try and be home at bedtime more often, it was another night I stayed home. Plus, I was tired. After working out a total of 80 minutes, not getting home until after 9, and being awake until 11:30 on Tuesday; I thought it was a fair compromise to stay home and go to bed early (which I did!)
Thurs 2/28: Again; Pilates and running 3.1. I have been using a Nike Running app on my phone to track my runs. I was a bit disappointed that this run felt good and like it was run at a good pace, but I didn't get any of the little awards the app gives you when you beat a previous time! I can tell you that it told me that I put in over 25 miles for the month of February, though! (which isn't a ton when I think back to when I was training last summer, but it does mean I am getting back to some consistency!)
Fri 3/1: rest
Sat 3/2: after another lazy Saturday morning, I finally got my butt out the door and to the Y. I went back and forth between whether to do a long run (5+ miles) or try to beat what the app says is my best 5K time of 2013 .... I went with the latter. I ended with a time of 37:07 - 10 seconds slower than the 36:57 it says I ran at the end of January. Its kind of nice that it will even track your 5K times that fall within a longer run (which is when that time is from), but yet if you just look at actual 5Ks - I would have met my goal! I will keep working at it! Then to lengthen the workout some, I did 30 minutes on the elliptical.
Sun 3/3: Today, I stuck to just Pilates.
That left me with 3 Pilates classes on the week, 3 3.1 mile runs, and 30 minutes on the elliptical. It doesn't look like much written that way. But something is better than nothing, and those doubled-up workouts aren't always easy to muster though!
