Still Alive!

Last post: October 17? Yikes.

Though I guess I have never hidden the fact that falling off the path is one of my weaknesses ....

As you know, following the half-marathon I was having a heck of  a time staying on track.

I did track another 7.16 miles between October 16 and October 17.

October 20, I came down with a stomach bug that had me felling in the dumps for four days. My stomach was queasy, and I had diarrhea. (Sorry - TMI). Between feeling real weak and being afraid of pooping my pants (honesty is a good thing, my friends!) - those four days got me completely off kilter.

Since then, we have joined the YMCA. We ended up with a family membership, but still need to work on a good schedule so we use it as often as we should.

So far, I have enjoyed the treadmill a time or two, and enjoy playing with Ava in the toddler gym.

My plan for the rest of 2012 is to set up a rotating schedule to stay in shape over the winter. I am thinking some short runs on the treadmill (would like to work up to 5-8 miles - can't picture more than that on it - but know treadmills for me usually = shin splints), some stationary biking, the elliptical, some weights, and some fitness classes (most interested in fitness yoga, pilates, and boot camp). I will share what I come up with.

I also hope to share a very personal story soon. Either right here or over on my other blog. Just not quite there yet to put it all out there.

Sorry for the lapse in posts. I hope you are still reading, and will stick this out with me!

How has your fall been? What about your transition into winter?
