And they are sort of a big deal around here! They have been to the state tournament for the last 10 seasons. Maybe more?
Dance was absolutely the right thing to get Ava involved in for this town! (Though she is under no obligation to stay in it!)
In addition to our Just for Kix dance shows throughout the year, JFK dances as guests at the annual APDT dance show. The APDT show is an opportunity for the (high school) girls to family, friends, and community member the dances they worked so hard on during the competition season. It is traditionally held the weekend before the Sectional meet; maybe having fun is what helps them perform so well at Sectionals and make it to state each year!?!? :) I sure hope the girls make it again.
At any rate, you know I can't watch Ava dance without sharing a video or two! This time she got to do her classes routine (same one they dance at the JFK Winter Show) and a mass routine with the other Kindergarten class. Both were great, and they are coming along in their skills!
