Weekly Wrap-Up: 10.26.15-11.1.15

Monday 10/26 - planned and actual - rest

Tuesday 10/27 -  planned and actual - kettle bell interval conditioning. We actually did a lot of core work using a stability ball, and not as much with kettle bells. The switch up is nice though.

Wednesday - planned - run. Actual was nothing. That is just how it has been going lately. This particular week,  I was gone until after 7 on Monday due to a training, then Tuesday I stayed at work late to try to get paperwork done before going to kettle bells. By Wednesday, I just feel the need to spend some time at home. And of course try to do more paperwork and homework!

Thursday - planned and actual - what else, kettle bells! She led what she called a traditional kettle bell workout. We started with a pyramid of 15 swings, 15 squat thrusters, 14 swings, 14 squat thrusters, all the way down to 1. We jump roped for a bit, then went into 12 minutes of 15 single leg deadlifts each side, 10 burpees, and then 8 rows each side. It was a good workout!

Friday - I planned to work until about 4 and the head to the Y for cycle box. Instead, I packed up early and went to happy hour! It was worth it. :)

Saturday - planned and actual - run. I managed 3.2 miles in 38:02, 11:53 average, during Ava's gymnastics class. So a little bit further and longer than last week, but slower pace. Comparing the splits for the two runs, last weeks were 11:50, 11:31, and 11:35. This weeks were 12:19, 11:22, 11:30.

Sunday - It's the time of year the choosing between a run or cross training depends on the weather and football! The Packers didn't play until Sunday night, and the weather was gorgeous! I planned to do some things around the house (and paperwork!) between church and when Chad was done watching the Viking game before going for a run around 3:00. That was until Ava came up to me and said, "Mom, I almost forgot. We were going to go to the park!" We did talk about it in the car on the way home from church. Who says no to that? I couldn't. So we went! Like happy hour on Friday night, so worth it.

Training totals:

2 kettle bell classes (40 minutes each)
3.2 miles running in 38:02

Total Time: 1:58:02

Still looking to get back up to 4-5 hours/workouts a week. Balance is a beautiful thing, but I want more time for the things I want to do!
