I needed to post just one more picture of the progress I have made!
I am not one to look at myself and see that I have lost the weight I have. And yet, I am super proud of myself for being able to lose nearly 30 pounds. I am also a bit disgusted with where that means I started. It is all part of the journey though, I know.
After the Women Rock Half-Marathon I so enjoyed looking at the pictures Chad captured! I also couldn't believe the difference from just over four months before when I ran the Earth Day 5k in St. Cloud. Enter Exhibit A ....
The picture on the left is from April. (I LOVE that the race photographer captured Ava and Chad in the background!! Such a precious picture to me.) In April, I was around 10+ pounds down, meaning I was probably between 180 and 185.
The picture on the right is from September 1. At 28 pounds down, I am weighing right around 165. That is roughly a 20 pound difference! Looking at these two pictures is one of the first times I was able to realize the progress I have made. Especially in my forever trouble spot - the mid-section. It is still not perfect and I am still not where I want to be, but to be able to look at a picture of myself and feel like I look good ... that tells me there is so much progress being made beyond the scale.
And that makes me feel good (GREAT)!
