Weekly Wrap-Up: 9/3-9/9

I took last Sunday and Monday off as rest days after running the half-marathon.

I was determined to not take more than that off without getting back into a good, consistent routine. So, on Tuesday I headed out and completed 4.29 miles. I was fully prepared to run all slow, easy runs this week; however, surprisingly I had one really good mile split. My overall time was still 53:49, which does not reflect that good split. Oh well!

The rest of the week, as planful and prepared as I tried to be, just didn't happen. I tried not to use the half as the "excuse" every time! It was a variety of different reasons. But mostly, I think I did need the mental and physical break this week.

Disappointed with my efforts this week, but I am not going to let it bring me down.

Hoping I will come back this week feeling as fresh and strong as ever!
