It is indeed motivating to know that this has come true over the last two years!

Yesterday afternoon, to end an otherwise tough week, I headed to the Y and went to Boot Camp. This is a pretty intense class, and it can be intimidating. At the same time, it leaves you with a pretty strong feeling of satisfaction, even if you feel inferior for the duration of class. That's my story with that particular class anyway.
I was going to try to capture a picture from class on my phone. I just didn't have the nerve to do it in front of the other dozen people in class. How do you nonchalantly capture those images anyway?!?

It has been a few weeks since I've put together a solid week from start to finish, meaning my plan for the week may be a tad ambitious. I really need to get back into a good rhythm though and will have to stop weaseling out of weekday workouts come marathon training. May as well start now.
Monday - 6 miles
Tuesday - Interval Conditioning at Y (with kettle bells)
Wednesday - 6-7 miles
Thursday- Interval Conditioning at Y
Friday - Rest
Saturday - 8-9 miles
Sunday - Swimming or Boot Camp

How many miles do you consider a short run versus a long run? What is your average distance on any given day?
What's on your radar for the week?
When you are in a rut, do you get out through baby steps or by going big?

I consider any run over 10 miles a long run. This is an arbitrary line in the sand and I am not sure how I arrived at it! Anything else is a run.
My average distance during the weekday is 5 miles generally broken down into 2 4 mile runs and 1 6 or 8 mile run.
I have recently gotten out of a run I didn't even realize I was in. Basically I backed off racing and just ran for the love of running. I was racing like a fiend and that was not good for me or my attitude.
