Three Things: 2/3/14

1. I finally ran in my new shoes last night without feeling a blister afterwards! I don't know if it was the magical 5th run - of which I have never heard anything about before - or if it had something to do with the fact that I hadn't ran since last Sunday. Either way, I didn't notice any of the negatives I posted about last week in terms of the shoes! Yeah.

2. I couldn't help but smile the other night when I noticed that it was not yet completely dark at 5:30! In all of the winter blues we have been experiencing across the country, this is a small silver lining. A sign that spring has to come, even if it is on Mother Nature's and Old Man Winter's terms and we have no say. But the longer it stays light outside, the sooner the nicer temps have to come along. Or, at the very least, it will be light enough after work to attempt to run outside! (I am not a dark runner. I don't even like letting the dog outside in the dark. LOL .... although it is not really a laughing matter.)

3. I don't typically care much about who wins the Super Bowl; unless of course the Packers are in it. (Yes, I am a Green Bay fan!) I often have a preference based on disliking a team for one reason or another (yes, I still dislike Seattle for the poor call LAST season. I also dislike cocky attitudes; Last year, I was so happy when the Ravens won because I feel like the 49ers coach is so arrogant!). However, these preferences aren't typically enough to get me all worked up over the game. I do want a Super Bowl to be a good game. This year's was not! Until the end. When we won $325 on my father-in-laws pool board. That they buy us into as a gift. They're cool like that. We're lucky sometimes. Now to convince the hubby we should pad savings instead of blowing the money on something we don't really need. (Our plan is to use savings to buy a camper this spring! YEAH!)

Given the length of those paragraphs, I probably shared more than three things. Ah well. Hope you enjoyed the read!

happy Tuesday.

Yes! I am so happy that the days are ever-so-slowly getting a little longer.
