Motivational Monday: 6.2.14


Yes, I used the same picture just a couple of weeks ago. But it is something that I need to continually remind myself of right now. With just 20ish days to go until Grandma's Marathon, I know it is not going to be easy. But the biggest challenge will be what happens between my ears and whether I am building myself up or putting myself down.

Plan for the week:

Monday: 6 miles
Tuesday: 3 miles, Interval Conditioning
Wednesday: 8 miles
Thursday: 20 miles (I need to make up the long run from last weekend)
Friday: Rest
Saturday: 3.1 miles - Diploma Dash in my hometown
Sunday: 10 miles (?) Hoping I can get my sister to run a long-ish run with me.

Looking at this closer - maybe 8 on Wednesday won't be a great idea. I will have to come up with a new plan there. Also, two long runs in a week are probably not a good idea. I will be "home" Friday through next Wednesday, so maybe I can do a long run with my sister either Monday or Tuesday?

Either way - looking to get some serious miles, consistency, and most importantly confidence back in these next two weeks.
