.I am addicted to the show Chasing Life on ABC Family. Does anyone else watch? It currently airs on Mondays at 8:00 (Central). This week's show left off with a completely unexpected cliff hanger, and I can't wait for Monday night. I also hope the season isn't almost over! I don't know if all ABC Family shows are like this, but this one had a summer season last year, a Christmas episode, and then the spring season. So, I have a feeling the end is nearer than I'd like.
.My jaw dropped at the end of kettle bells last night when the instructor said, "see you September 1." Our Y is closed for one week at the end of each August for cleaning and light construction projects, and that week is next week. So - the next Tuesday we have class in Tuesday, September 1. That put it into perspective just how much of summer is left! Crazy.
.I've stuck to a pretty light exercise routine this week (some intentional and some not) and am glad that my foot seems to be doing okay. I've had a few twinges here and there, but honestly they are twinges that I don't think I would think twice about if I hadn't used crutches three days last week. I don't want to ignore it, but I don't want to sideline myself for nothing either. Going to keep going with it, and hope for the best.
.I should be pushing for at least a 10 mile long run this weekend. That is what I would have done last week if the foot thing hadn't come up. My half is in 4 weeks (?), and so far my longest run was 8 miles the day before my foot started hurting (August 9). I wanted to get it (my long run) done before leaving for camping this weekend, but the week just hasn't gone completely as planned. Not sure if I will go before we leave today, or if I will table it and run camping instead. (Along with some planned hiking). I am contemplating running from the campground to the Elba fire tower, and then climbing the steps! To be clear, I would only do the 637 steps that lead up the bluff to the base. I am not actually going to climb a 135 step, skinny staircase up an old fire tower! (Though I did three years ago when on a field trip with students I was working with at the time!)
.I've listened a little bit to the Fight Song Radio station on Pandora lately. Do you know I've heard a bunch of good songs, but not Fight Song? That station would probably be as good as the 80s Cardio station as getting me going on a run! Typically, I don't even listen to music. I do enjoy it, but on my long runs when I need it the most, my phone battery doesn't last the whole time anyway!
.I joined the 21st century and ordered clothes online the other day! I do very little shopping/ordering online! However, I got a coupon code for a flash sale Maurices was having that was online only. I couldn't pass up saving 25% on items I would have gone to the store to look at anyway. I then went to the store yesterday to spend the rest of my birthday money from my mother-in-law. I got another pair of dress pants (that were probably included in the sale - and only got because I didn't find enough shirts I liked!), a light sweater, and two layering tanks. Not my best outing - but maybe that's a good thing!
.I need to plan a day next week to go to the salon. I need to get my eyebrows cleaned up before school stars up again and I am back to work full time. What I can't decide is if I want to cut my hair again or leave it long? For the last two or three years, I have kept it short (between chin and shoulder length) - then will go through periods where it gets slightly longer. Notably, summer! Since I don't have to worry about doing anything to it and can just pull it back. It has hit that length where I feel like I want it long - but I also know in the long run that I will get frustrated I don't know how to do more to it and chop it anyway. We'll see.

I think that's it for this edition of "Currently". I usually try to include 10 things in these random lists, but I also don't typically write paragraphs! Usually I keep it to bullet statements. Oh well.
What is going on in your corner these days?
