Overall, I felt like it was a great week! Here's the run down ....
Monday, 7/27: After taking Ava to swimming lessons we headed over to the Y, so I could do Cycle Box. Then after taking her to gymnastics and eating supper, I headed out for a run. I ended with 5.59 hot, sweaty miles in 1:13:52. The first half was much easier than the second; I got hot and tired. It was hard to keep pushing, but I finished!

Tuesday, 7/28: Right after swimming lessons and lunch, Ava and I headed back to the Y. I did a cycling class, before heading back in the evening for kettle bells interval conditioning. In addition to kettle bells, we did some jump rope, and some work with the Bosu.
Wednesday, 7/29: I started with 30 minutes of TRX while Ava was at gymnastics. Afterwards, it was time for a run. My Garmin did not do it's job tonight! I know it was a 6 mile route, but it was not synched in correctly for the first mile. It ended up only tracking 5.77 miles. When I went back and looked at the map after plugging in my Garmin, it didn't even start me at my house. Whatever, here were the final stats from my Garmin.

Knowing that in actuality I ran 6 miles, I am okay with the overall time. It means in reality I was able to stay just under a 13min/mile average.
Thursday, 7/30: To keep a great week going strong, I did my fourth double workout day of the week. I did back to back classes of kickboxing and kettle bells. I liked the formal of kettle bells - we did 20 swings, followed by a push-up pyramid (10 round 1, 9 round 2. etc.) with a variety of different strength exercises each round. When we were done, she had some random moves to fill up the rest of class! This style tends to be my favorite actually, so all in all it was a great night.
Friday, 7/31: As good as I felt with all the doubles, I was feeling a little bit sore and tired today. Knowing I planned to go for a long run this weekend, I kept today simple. Just one workout! I did Cycle Box after swimming lessons and called it a day!
Saturday, 8/1: The plan was to go for my longest run of the summer. I've been focused in on the 5-6 mile range, and in the next month the training plan I loosely followed to build mine increases quite rapidly. I wrote 8 in on my plan. Of course summer time, with a husband who is at work by 4am, means lots of sleeping in and not a lot of getting up early. So needless to say, I was not up and running as early as I should have been. Not the worst scenario, except I had friends that were planning to be in town around 11! I opted to shorten the run to 7. Then sadly ran into a "trail closed" sign! I knew there was some construction, so had stayed away from that area. I hadn't really paid attention to see if it had reopened yet when I planned my route. I ran a usual route, and of course when it came to adding the last mile at the end (which would have put me close on time), I took the easy way out. 6 miles it was. Not my greatest performance either. I guess we all have days like that!

Sunday, 8/2: Rest! And believe you me, I did little to nothing all day long!
****
Totals:
3 runs for 17.39 miles (according to Garmin, not me!)
7 group fitness classes (two cycle box, one cycling, two kettle bells, one kickboxing, one TRX)
Time Training: 8:50:10

Hoping for a few more weeks like this before heading back to work! Where has this summer gone?
