.utilizing On-Demand to watch old episodes of TV shows after Chad and Ava go to bed. We've used it to put Dora, or another one of Ava's cartoons, on when we've needed it, but I had no idea they had Prime Time shows on there! I've watched the first half of last season's Chicago Fire, and Chasing Fire on ABC Family.
.wondering why I haven't used my bike yet this spring or summer. I am sure the late arrival of spring and marathon training had a little something to do with it, but I am starting to miss it. It's a great cross training activity. Sadly, Ava told me today that she is too big for the bike trailer. She might be right. Height-wise anyway - not weight.
.driving our new (to us) car - a 2010 Malibu - at least when Chad isn't driving it. I guess it will balance out in winter when he has to take the Blazer. It was a little bittersweet to trade in our Silverado, though. We had that truck longer than we've been married, which will be 8 years next week. People chuckle when we tell them we went from a pick-up truck to a little 4-door sedan! It works for the three of us though, and a new truck just wasn't in the budget right now.
.refusing to acknowledge that we are nearly half- way through July. I really am enjoying my summer off. I love that I can give more attention to maintaining my house, focus more on Chad and I as a couple, spend the extra time with Ava, and fit in my workouts without feeling guilty that I am taking away from those things. It is truly freeing. It is going to be hard to go back to work in just over a month!
.feeling surprisingly content that, at this point, we have decided not to move forward with additional fertility treatments. We were thiiiiis close to making the necessary calls, but then something inside of me just flipped and it didn't feel right. We still have a little bit of time to change our mind, but for right now it feels okay.
.looking forward to this coming weekend and spending time with one of my best friends from college. I think I've mentioned her on my blog before; she teaches and lives in Singapore! So our visits are few and far between, but I've gotten to spend a few days with her each summer and a day or two the times she comes home over Christmas. In January, we went to a Green Bay Packer playoff game - what a great memory that was. This weekend, Ava and I will head to Eau Claire and spend Friday - Monday at her parents. I will run the Water Street Mile 5k, and we will go to the Twin Cities for the Color Run, too!
