Spoiler: the highlight of the week was that I worked out everyday I intended to and ended with a respectable week. The low of the week was a couple of missed runs and lower mileage than I would have liked.
Here's how the week played out:
Monday - planned TRX and 6 miles. My original plan for these first couple of months of the school year was to leave work in time to get home, change, run to the Y, do TRX, and then run 5 miles afterwards. However, it has been super hard to leave work on time! So after getting home, I raced to the Y (in my car) and did TRX. I knew there was a chance of rain, but I thought it was going to hold off until later evening. Lo and behold, as we were walking out of the Y, you could hear the thunder rumbling and the rain was starting. 30-45 minutes later it was done, but so was I! So, missed run #1.
Tuesday - planned and actual - kickboxing and interval conditioning/kettle bells. Super proud of the fact that the 20# kettle bell now feels light when I use it for swings. I continue to use it for any other exercise we use our heavy for (mainly clean and presses), but I use 25# for swings! Feeling stronger these days for sure!
Wednesday - planned TRX and 8x400 speed work. Again, my intent was to get home, run to the Y, do TRX, run to the track, do my 8 repeats, and walk/run home. I did not leave for the Y until nearly 5 minutes before class started so my warm-up was literally running into the Y from the parking lot. Whew! Somehow, I also missed that we were going from summer straight into winter! When I left work, I couldn't believe how cold and windy it was! The temperatures by themselves were in the upper 40s or low 50s, but the wind had a winter chill to it that will make me appreciate every nice fall day we get before the onset of the true frigid air. So, terrible excuse, but I was not prepared for the weather and I did not get my run in. Regretted it for sure! I can be such a wimp when it comes to better than expected weather!
Thursday - planned interval conditioning. Actual - kickboxing. When I planned out last week, I made note that I would probably have to switch Saturday and Sunday due to Chad being out of town, but forgot he was leaving on Thursday. Instead of going to kettle bells, and not getting Ava home until after 8, we went from school, to her dance class, to the Y for kickboxing, and finally home at 7:15. Long day but worth it!
Friday - planned and actual - REST! During the school year especially, I love Friday nights. I work my butt off all week long. But come Friday there are few things better than getting home from work, putting my sweats on, and falling asleep earlier than most kids! :)
Saturday - planned long run, but had to switch it with Sunday. For some time now (months), the Y schedule on Saturday's have been more, but shorter, classes. So, I did 25 minutes of cycling, 25 minutes of kickboxing, and 25 minutes of Yoga. Cycling was pretty intense - with a couple of hills and some tabatas. Kickboxing was also pretty intense given it was just 25 minutes! On top of some combination of hits that I don't get during the week, there were a ton of side kicks! Following cycling - those were tough. I am not a huge fan of yoga, but I enjoyed this class. It wasn't a lot of holding poses, which is probably why I like it. I mean, of course we held poses, but I feel like we were always doing something else and they weren't real complicated. Quite the morning of cross training!
Sunday - planned a new hour long class of 20 minutes each of cycling, kettle bells and yoga. Instead, I headed out on my long run! I started with a .28 mile warm-up and the only reason that didn't count towards my final distance and pace was because my watch was still set on .25 for auto lap and I wasn't doing that for 11 miles! :) From where I reset it, I finished 11.16 miles in 2:07:57; an 11:28 average. For me, that is pretty amazing! I was super happy with how the run went. It was perfect fall running weather and everything just seemed easy. Especially considering it was my first double digit run since Grandma's Marathon.

Totals:
1 run for 11.16 miles
8 group fitness classes (with three of them being the back-back ones on Saturday!)
Total time training - 6:32:57

On top of working out all but one day despite not getting my runs in, I am most proud that I rearranged things when Chad was gone. Not always an easy task for this Type A personality!
What are your current highs and lows?
