In Review: 2015

Like I did here and here, I thought a quick wrap-up of 2015 was in order.

Some moments are worth revisiting, reliving, and reminiscing ....

(sorry that some pictures are posted out of order!)

because it reminds me of where she was a month before and how far she has come since. I am so glad we were given more time with her. My mom is a true blessing to all who know her!

because with an imagination like this, she's going to go far!

because when we just had our first big snow of the winter, remembering that we could have weather like this over spring break is refreshing!

because these seven are fabulous.

because celebrating her should be done everyday, not just when we are celebrating her birthday!

because who doesn't deserve two birthday parties?!?

because she is gorgeous, and this was the first time I let someone else take her pictures! I've always done them myself!

because the scenery was breathtaking, the time with family treasured, and we got a new patch for our collection!

because it was my first time finally doing this, and it was with her.

because that smile melts my heart.

because she is gaining confidence.

because I hope I am more like her than I think.

because I want to be surrounded like this when I turn 90!

because moments like this are too few and far between.

because they were willing to bring them along.

because I camped here as a kid, and getting this patch for our collection was worth the drive.

because they are a part of our "Eau Claire" family.

because I met her over 16 years ago, and she is part of me forever! because she loves her like one of her own.

because I got this on my phone!

because they are some of our best.

because I love watching her try something new and enjoying herself.

because once upon a time I didn't understand why Chad wanted to pick "a friend" to be her godfather, but I get it. These guys are awesome.

because it is worth catching up with a college roommate even if it makes you feel old, and revolves around your kids!!

because it's become a tradition.

because she is growing up before our eyes.

because I get to share it with her.

because could she be any cuter?

just because.

because family time is the best.

because he was entertaining.

because they were one of our favorites that day.

because it made me nervous to let her carry around that camera, it also made me proud.

because it was memories made and I've learned to appreciate every.single.visit.

because this park is becoming one of my favorites.

because there aren't views like this everywhere.

because I want to do this with her for years to come.

because I climbed those steps by choice!

because it's what you do.

because it brought back memories!

because I can't believe we are here.

because it's about progress not perfection.

because family is forever.

because we have to do something when Daddy's is out of town.

because it was one step towards bouncing back.

because you eat Texas Roadhouse when you are too sick to eat on Thanksgiving.

because sometimes the beauty is right in front of you.

because sometimes you just need a night out.

because you only get one first holiday concert.

because I love this family. and, although my heart longs, I can finally hold a baby without fighting the urge to cry.

because it's part of the magic of the season.

because they are a unique and fascinating group.

because she keeps getting better.

because the unplanned and unexpected creates the best times.

because her surprise and gratitude were tear-jerking.

because her excitement was contagious this season. because she is beautiful. because she is mine.

because I almost forgot to include him.

I hope your year is worth reflecting back on. I could have made this shorter. I could have made it longer. For as trying a year as it was, I am blessed.
