Okay, not necessarily. But that is how I picture the littlest church-goers.
Anyway. After moving in 2011 it took me forever to find a new church. Partly due to the social anxiety, partly due to starting to go and then stopping again, partly due to not finding one I truly like. Oddly enough, one of the things that at first turned me off from where we now go is that they didn't start Sunday School until 5. Well, turns out I just never asked the question and their website had needed updating. Fast forward a year and a half later, and Ava and I have not been going regularly (not counting summer) since last spring.
This past Sunday was her first Sunday School program! She seems to like anything that puts her in front of a crowd lately - school concert, dance, and now this - so she was comfortable and excited. She sang one song with the other Kindergartners/1st grader/2nd graders, and then sang again when all the Sunday School kiddos sang a finale. If you watch nothing else, fast forward the second video to the benediction - "May the Lord be with you." The program was Star Wars theme, and I thought they did a great job. I only took video of the songs Ava sang, but the whole program was, overall, well done!
Ava wore the same dress she wore for her school concert, and that she will likely wear on Christmas Eve. She also picked out clothes for Chad and I; she wanted us all to be dressed up. Too cute. She insisted on daddy wearing a tie, so we did make some changes to her original outfit choices!
A family picture to commemorate the day! And our good looks! :)
Brings me back a little to some of my own Sunday School and church choir days!
