My Week Off - Sentence per Picture

I had the entire week leading up to the 4th of July off from teaching summer school, and we were busy each and every day! The first weekend, we headed up to my in-laws for "Browerville Days" -- the yearly festival! When we got home on Monday, my parents came to town with my two oldest nieces, and stayed until Thursday. Finally, Friday to Sunday, Ava and I headed to Eau Claire for a second visit this summer with my friend Heidi.

Here's just a highlight 27 pictures - even though I am not good about being choosy when it comes to sharing pictures!

Racing her turtle, with help from one of her favorites!

Going to Uncle Dave and Aunt Jo's was so much better than playing on the hot bouncy houses (even if we didn't have swimsuits packed!).

Even the pig races came to town!

It is so much fun having a friend I know from our days in St. Cloud live so close to Chad's parents; Ava and her kiddos get along fabulously, too.

Papa Brian didn't stand a chance.

Come and get me Papa!

Different beach, same sweet girls.

I think she enjoyed having two of her cousins in town!

Swinging at the park with her cousins, Nama, and Papa.

Jaycie said, "I walk Daryl, it will be okay!" Daryl is their 4 month old puppy - Max is our 122 pound lab!

Sassy Strawberry to celebrate kindergarten shots!

Heidi painted all the girls' nails for the 4th of July.

Enjoying the festivities at the Chippewa Valley Rail Road; these have become our Eau Claire friends!

Ady rode with Hobo Jim.

They all wanted him!

Look, not all horses are smaller than Max!

See Ava enjoying the beach while we wait for fireworks? I should have packed extra clothes.

I love fireworks. And her.

See how we got Heidi in this one? :)

Ava and Mommy at the Chippewa Valley Air Show.

The Garber's - "my college family" - photographed by Ava!

Trying to stay shaded and cool!

Checking out a big ol' Air Force plane!

A selfie of two of my favorite people!

Ready for the loud ones.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's superman? No, it really is the Blue Angels!

See her? Less than a half hour after leaving Eau Claire. I guess that is what a busy week will do to a person. Don't worry, I was driving safe, and I didn't feel they way she did!

When we got home on Sunday, as I was getting ready for the week, I thought more than once that a week off to recover from my week off would have been nice. Still, I'd have it no other way in the summer. Each visit and trip in the summer is worth it to me!
