Although Monday was a bust ....
too tired to get up.
and once home with the little love in the evening, too hard to leave her ....
this morning was amazing.
Although it started by getting to the gym later than planned, everything turned out a-OK.
I started with approximately a 4.0mph walking warm up - 1/4 mile.
For the next 1/4 mile, I bumped it up to an easy 4.5
The next 1/2 mile, I ran at 4.7.
For mile two, I started with 1/4 mile at 4.9.
Then ran the rest of the mile at 5.1.
To start mile three, I came back down to 4.8 for the first 1/4.
The remainder of of the third mile, I ran at 5.0.
Finally, I bumped it up to a 5.3 for the first 1/4 mile of mile 4.
The next 1/4 mile, I ran at 5.1.
Finally, I ran the last 1/2 mile at 4.9.
I thought maybe by maintaining the faster paces for longer periods of time -
instead of jumping around more -
I would shed a little more time off.
But, instead I finished the 4 miles in the exact time as on Saturday - 49:10.
Although Monday's workout was done on Tuesday, I'm NOT complaining!
Good Morning, Tuesday!
Lots of blog posts planned in the coming days.
Stay tuned!

Those speeds are great, and show how strong your running is. I am working on my speed too, on the days that I don't do my distance.
